After a very grueling week of competition last week, the Rams started the new week with a convincing 18-0 win over the Rosemead Panthers. The team won all 18 sets and only surrendered 26 games total.
All players, including substitutes contributed to the win tally. Richard Zheng scored three wins in singles, 6-0, 6-2, and 6-3. Ryan Lee and Jimmy Xu both notched two singles singles set. James Peng and Victor Lin added one each for the 9-0 singles sweep.
The newly formed doubles team of Justin Lee and Jason Chen won all three of their matches, losing only two games total. Doubles number one team Spencer Chen and Regis Lee won their two sets 6-0, 6-1. Ryan Wang and Justin Jia also won two sets. Wang partnered with Jacky Tang in the third round for another victory. The ninth doubles point came from Derek Quach and Brian Ling.
The win moves the Rams to 5-2 in the preseason with their final preseason game on Thursday at Flintridge Prep.
