Meet Recap

The Rams snapped a two match losing skid on Thursday with a convincing 15-3 victory over the visiting Arroyo Knights. It was a complete victory as only the Knights’ singles one player was able to gain any wins.

The Rams used a new lineup today as the normal number one doubles tandem of Spencer Chen and Regis Lee stepped into singles. The two both had strong victories and very tight losses against the Arroyo star. Rams coach Nate Slaymaker said this was not a permanent adjustment, but it gave him an opportinity to see more players in action in doubles as he determines the best lineup heading into league play.

The doubles teams all turned in strong performances, surrendering more than two games only once. It was the fourth match this year that the Rams doubles earned a clean 9-0 sweep.

The Rams will compete in The First Serve Tournament in Torrance on Saturday. After narrowly missing a chance at the title last year, the team is hungry to come home with a First Serve Chanpionship.
