Five senior athletes signed letters of intent to play at colleges across the nation this past Tuesday. This is the most in a number years to do so.
Anthony DeGravina signed to play football with Whittier College. Anthony played linebacker and running back for the Rams this past season. The Poets compete in the SCIAC as a Division 3 school.
Karlly Feng signed with Brown University to compete as a pole vaulter for the BrownBears. Brown is one of the Ivy League schools, competing at the NCAA Divsion 1 level. Karlly had a state meet qualifying height in the pole vault last year of 11′ 7” in the Masters meet.
Tyler Hazlett signed to play Baseball with Hawaii Pacific University. Tyler is a pitcher/catcher on this year’s RAMS teams and was an integral player in their advance to the CIF Championship game in 2015. Hawaii Pacific competes in the PacWest conference as a NCAA Div 2 school. Their baseball team finished sixth in the conference last year.
Paul Kosanovich signed to play football with New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Paul played quarterback and defensive end for the Rams this past season. New Mexico Highlands plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, a NCAA division 2 conference.
Haley Mitchell signed to play softball with Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Haley plays catcher on the Ram team currently leading the Rio Hondo League standings. The Panthers compete in the Ohio Valley Conference at the NCAA Division 1 level.
